  William Osbeck-The CO that helped me get out of the borg.

  after reading cruzenheart's post on the letter about her father, and the treatment he received from the co, william osbeck, and the elders of his congregation, it brought back my own memories of this particular co and his treatment of people.

  it was 1995 and one of the hardest years of my life.

  in february of that year, i learned i was pregnant with our fifth child.

  What bizaree "new light" do you see the Watchtower making in the future ???

  the 1914 generation term has been given new light.. what do you think the watchtower will change next ?????????.

  yes every time the jw's use prov. 4-18 on me about a false prophecy. i like to direct them to prov 4-19 the next verse. he who stumbles don't know the reason WHY!!!! shuts them up fast.....john

  Help Africans, Asians, South Americans?

  many americans think their country went to war in iraq to free the iraqi people from tyranny.

  if africans, asians, or south americans, faced a similar kind of "tyranny" (and some do) would the present american administration be there to "free" them also?

  good point iw; but the u.s gov't don't tell you , you can't help hungry ppl in other lands or your local bum . by buying him something to eat. yes the u.s is selective on were they go to help more than other places. but the price of gasoline has gone down and that helps me ,so that was in my intrests. i think the the u.s gov't has done more for foreign lands in a month than the wt has done in 130 years. that's my point john

  well we all know what god's org is doing in these countries. feeding the poor. no helping the sick. no taking care of the eldery. no taking care of parent less children no. but the wt is still selling the wt mag's at a price $$$$ in many of these countries. i think that the u.s gov't and other agencies are doing far more than , god's org, even you can send food from local food drives for these downtrodden ppl. the wt send them paper to eat . i like my wt chopped and boiled with salt . for $.25 cents you can feed a whole family please send the proper food at the proper time....john

  Did You Support Children Getting Baptized?

  after reading blondie's thread of the baptisms at the district convention, i couldn't help but identify with the 11 year old that said she was so happy to be baptized and has wanted to be baptized for years now.

  i was 9 when i got baptized but really wanted to take the plunge at around 7. after my mother talked to the congregation servant about my desire, he said that she should not hold me back.

  my daughter was 14 when she got baptized.

  NOT AS A JW I WAS baptized as a catholic 41 years ago and no one has bagered me about since . but a jw will try to take you to the cleaners of i ever say i was a baptized jw.... they can drop dead. i was never a jw but will take any elder to the mat and make fools of them if thwey ever get the balls to come to my door... john

  today i hit pay dirt with 2 jw 's

  i see 2 sisters today inj the fs .. so stop and start working them, they are so happy i know much about the wt.

  i went into some thing about selling mag's etc.

  and all of a sudden they went wild on how at the hall the co or somebody was asking for thousands of $'s for an assembly .

  update #2 i just got the other sis that i talked to that day on the phone. seems that her friend did move out of state this week .. so she says that's she is an aux pioneer. i go into some of the questions she had last week abouty that the wt is god's org etc. she says that the bible says to preach the good news etc. i say that;s great but the gal 1 says that if you teach a different gospel than the apostles teach you are acuressed. and jesus always had kingdom power eph 1'20-22 mt 28;18 etc not in 1914 can can she prove that jesus choose the wt in 1919 etc. well she siad that jehovah will deal with the wt at armageddom but she was doing her job. that she prayede for god to show her if the wt was thuth. etc. well i asked why do you think you met me you say that i know alot abojut the wt . could that be a sign? she says that she needs to find out for her self. i say thats fine lets have a study on some of your questions . or try reading a non wt bible and ask tyhe holy sprit to guide you . she was perplexed she know that the wt is wrong on many things. and i gave her a simple one to look up the 1914 generation as stated in every awake mag till 1995 pg 4 about the creators promise. again she said she don't have the time, she has to go to a recruitement study in the knowledge book with a new interested one. i was getting pissed off that she could see the wt was wrong many times over , but she still thought the study was more important than proving facts. i said how can you go to recruite someone when you can't back uot what the wt says...we talked about a lot of other things and she had no answers ie 144000 sons of christ , jw's not to have children alumimun vaccanations 1936 hitler . she amitted she has a lot to learn and i offered to help her . we left on good terms she is 67 years old and i will try aGAIN NEXT WEEK.   DOES " NON-- ANOINTED mean NON--CHRISTIAN ?"

  from the february 15, 2003 watchtower magazine,the following implications are shown about the non-"born again" ( 144,000 ) jehovah's witnesses,which comprise over 99% of the organization.. ( 1) they are not anointed -- they are "...others in addition to christ's anointed followers..." (p.19, # 9 ).

  ( 2 ) they are not sons of god--"...anointed christians that they...'are god's children'...god's spirit gives them a sense of sonship towards him..."( p.21, # 18 ).

  ( 3 ) they are not led by the spirit--"...spirit-anointed and should partake of the memorial emblems...'all who are led by the spirit are sons of god'...( romans 8:14 ) " ( p.19, # 7 ).

  i spoke to my mother tonight (oh no.............she's da'ed) and she told me a story that warmed my heart.. now, one thing i need to explain at this point is that my mother embraces anything and everything in life with zeal and has intense passion for what she believes in.

  so when she believed the borg had the 'truth' and must have been the 'true' religion, she drove everyone mad with her determination to save all her family.

  she had a very strong influence on us, but was not responsible for all but one of my family converting.
